Skills Training And Growth through Erasmus+ Theatre

KA220-ADU – Cooperation partnerships in adult education

The S.T.A.G.E.+T. project is a 36-month Erasmus+ initiative focused on promoting personal growth and skills development in adults through theatre. It employs innovative, active, and participatory learning approaches to counteract boredom and disaffection, foster personal growth, and strengthen interpersonal relationships for comprehensive individual training.

Objectives: The project aims to achieve the following objectives:

  • Analyze the social functions of theatre throughout history.
  • Define the applications of theatre in 21st-century teaching and learning.
  • Create a universal bibliography of theatre as a learning methodology.
  • Synthesize a methodology that accounts for various experiences.
  • Develop a script and video documents to formalize the techniques used.
  • Experiment with the methodology in diverse contexts.
  • Create workshops, stage performances, and video recordings.
  • Promote social inclusion and enhance diversity.
  • Develop soft skills such as communication, creativity, and teamwork.
  • Promote personal growth and self-esteem.
  • Make learning a fun and motivating experience.
  • Provide training courses for adults that integrate theatre, storytelling, and skills development.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of the paths and collect feedback.
  • Update activities and learning resources based on feedback received.
  • Organize events to share the project’s results with the educational community and the public.
  • Develop guidelines to replicate project activities and methodologies.
  • Increase awareness of the potential of theatre as an educational tool.

 

Implementation: The project is structured into four work packages (WPs):

  • WP1: Project Management: Ensures effective project coordination, financial management, problem-solving, and regular reporting throughout the project duration. Led by SIT, with contributions from all partners.
  • WP2: Analysis and Creation: Focuses on researching the evolution of theatre and its social functions, defining its applications in teaching/learning for the 21st century, and developing educational resources and an online sharing platform. Activities include data collection, interviews with theatre professionals, and the creation of lesson templates and online materials. Led by SIT, with contributions from all partners.
  • WP3: Experimentation and Monitoring: Involves testing the developed methodology in three countries, organizing monitoring sessions, conducting workshops, and evaluating collected data. All partners are responsible for organizing experimentation, monitoring, and evaluation sessions.
  • WP4: Dissemination: Focuses on developing a communication strategy, creating promotional materials, managing online communication channels, organizing dissemination events, and monitoring the social impact of the events. Talent Garden DK leads the development of the communication strategy and promotional materials, while all partners contribute to online channels, dissemination events, community involvement, and monitoring.

 

Methodology: The project employs the following methodologies:

  1. Research & Development: Exploring the evolution of theatre and its social functions.
  2. Training: Online training courses for adults, theatrical techniques for teaching, storytelling, and audiovisual materials.
  3. Cultural Events: Organization of transnational cultural events to engage the community.
  4. Digital Platform: Creation of an interactive platform for sharing resources and interaction.
  5. Scrum methodology: adapted to facilitate collaboration, remove obstacles, and guide processes.
